The ECPL [East Coast PickleBall League] was formed to help coaches & players promote advanced level play in smaller & underdeveloped markets that do not offer opportunities or options for aspiring youth, adult, senior athletes & advanced level players seeking to compete against peers in the Fastest Growing Sport in the USA.
The ECPL is currently building a media & recruiting platform with like minded coaches & sponsors to help promote players who are committed to improve & compete with their peers.
Traditional USAPA rankings typically DO NOT APPLY but can be used to gauge experienced players (4.0 4.5 5.0)
TopGun LIVE is an Open Competition Concept featuring Top Level Players [Male and/or Female etc.] locally to see how they match up against the best available talent in a controlled competitive environment.
The rules & format can be adjusted to budget for slight gaps in exact ability level & to enhance the overall excitement & entertainment product value*. (*this means watchable & tolerable to higher level players & to the Coach, Commentator or Video Editor.)
Coaches lose their minds when they have to witness undisciplined play by players who don't care about improving & "just want to play"- this exact mentality is the main problem regarding a limited available talent pool.
LIVE Streamed and/or Recorded for Commercial Broadcast Entertainment, Product Promotion, Gear Sales, Clinic Recruitment & Player Training Purposes.
**Compensation to Players is based on the following Ability & Factors:
Performance, Reliability, Availability, Marketability & Consistency of Play.**
The Format:
League Players play 2 Matches of 4 Games Nightly with the same partner for a grand total of 8 - 13 Minute Games
Back to Back for 52 Minutes X 2 = almost 2 Hours Total Time.
Running Score - Total Best Score Wins the Match.
Player Developmental Leagues & Clinics prior to ECPL TipOff and are offered weekly Mon-Thur from our partners & coaches to promote the growth & expansion of higher level play.
Doubles PickleBall is the most popular, is very partner oriented and the founders know that without strong partners true competitive games games are somewhat skewed & flawed.
"Winning" games is not the most important criteria but is just one important aspect of competing at a higher level.
Singles PickleBall Competition is very specific to players athletic ability & racquet sport skill level.
Tennis Pros can usually compete quickly in Singles and find it easier to arrange training as it only requires one other high level singles player.
Because of the lack of viable facility options, the Charleston SC Market has been a very limited market - however the ECPL Brand is expanding into regions that support players and coaches efforts.
