There are not many shoe options on the market that can withstand scorching heat and abrasive surfaces for longer than 60-90-120 days of solid play.

High level Singles players can go through shoes in 1 Tournament.

Basketball shoes have great support but usually have soft rubber soles and do not last at all after long periods of play and most likely will leave your Achilles Tendon, Calf Muscles and Arches aching.

• Outdoor Play: gritty cement courts are hard on shoes, knees & ankles so rotate often - injuries typically happen due to poor posture, technique, and excess baggage stressing your knees, weaker ankle joints and ligaments.

• Indoor Play: if you play mostly indoor on rubber/wood - go basketball/volleyball styles if you are athletic.

• Wear Patterns: Just take a look at your wear patterns on the bottom of your shoes. Long term joint problems leave evidence.

• Toe Drag linked to dominant anchor leg wear one dominant shoes down and basically ruins a pair quickly.
